Living at U46 co:nnect

With our project U46 co:nnect, we aim to create living space in Saarbrücken, which works against the anonymous 1-room-apartments and serves as a social and attractive hotspot for (international) students and professionals.
U46 co:nnect is the place, where living also means community, cohesion and sustainability.🧡

The renovation of the first shared flat for 6 students is finished. We therefore reach a rental start soon.

Living at U46 co:nnect means:
💫 Modern living with a fully equipped and stylish furniture
💫 Being part of a community and having access to a network (privately & professionally)
💫 Work-Life-Integration through the combination of U46 lifeHub, coWork, coffeeLab, washBar and afterHours located in the house
💫 centrally located at the "Mühlenviertel" in Saarbrücken with perfect connection
💫 Security and service through automized access systems, which create the Satz comfortable and safe.

Refurbishment & reuse of furniture

From a hotel suite to the shared room

What used to welcome business guests to the Hilton Hotel in Mainz now stands in shared rooms in our U46 co:nnect project in Saarbrücken with a new lease of life: high-quality desks that we have refurbished and reused in a targeted manner.
Instead of throwing them away, we have transferred them to the next chapter of use - in a way that conserves resources, makes economic sense and has character.

Why is this more than just a nice isolated case?
🏗️ Circular construction means not disposing of materials and components, but keeping them in the cycle as recyclable materials.
Because:
♻️ The construction industry is one of the largest consumers of raw materials in Europe
🌍 Reuse saves CO₂, energy and transportation
💡 And: reuse in no way means a lack of quality or aesthetics.

At U46, we make exactly that visible: how urban spaces become more sustainable - and by no means more boring - through clever material strategies.

Acoustics meets architecture

Our recently completed project involving the new acoustic ceilings in the Hellberghalle and swimming pool in Eppelborn was nicely summarized in the latest Arcguide article - and we are pleased to be able to give an insight behind the scenes.
In modern sports facilities, well thought-out room acoustics are crucial for functionality and user comfort. Here, we planned and implemented a suspended ceiling system that not only effectively reduces noise levels, but also improves the ambience of the room. The acoustically effective ceiling panels from Rockfon's Color-all series were used here.
By integrating high-quality acoustic ceilings, we were able to create an environment that meets both acoustic requirements and aesthetic demands.
This project underlines our commitment to holistic solutions in which design and function go hand in hand.

Project completion EHB

Successful refurbishment with well thought-out planning 🏊‍♂️
As part of our careful planning services, the suspended ceiling of the Eppelborn Hellbergbad was dismantled and replaced with a ball-proof grid ceiling. In addition, the lighting was modernized with energy-efficient LED technology, the skylight domes were converted and the ventilation system was refurbished.
The swimming pool has been open again since 28.03. - we are delighted to have successfully completed another project! ✨

Sustainability flows with it!

The washbasins from our Leipzig project have found a new home - in the shared bathrooms of the U46 co:nnect in Saarbrücken. Instead of disposing of them, we are reusing them and giving high-quality materials a second chance. ♻️💡
